There is so much to love about EPCOT, from its beautiful scenery to its mouthwatering food. Like all Disney parks, EPCOT is full of exciting things to do and see. One thing that sets EPCOT apart from other Disney parks is its festivals. The park has four festivals every year, each is included in the price of admission.
While every festival has something unique to offer, there are things that are consistent. Every festival will have its own food and beverage booths set up around the park, stocked full with goodies unique to that festival. Each festival also has its own show (or concert series) at EPCOT’s outdoor concert venue, America Gardens Theatre.
If you’re looking to fully immerse yourself in the festival, you can purchase a scavenger hunt map (these are typically under $10, you can also use your AP or DVC discount) that will take you around the park and challenge you to locate various objects. If you manage to complete the hunt, you will be rewarded with a prize that is relevant to the festival.
If you want to participate at all of the above in style, worry not, because every festival also comes with its own merchandise. The size of the collection varies, but you can expect to find things like shirts, pins, MagicBands, phone cases, mugs, and more!
EPCOT International Festival of the Arts
Festival of the Arts is a festival to celebrate art in all forms- whether it be culinary, performing, or visual. This festival generally runs from early January to late February. You can expect live performances throughout the park, interactive art experiences, adorable photo-ops, and food that looks almost too good to eat. This is an unforgettable festival that is sure to satisfy all the senses.
EPCOT International Flower and Garden Festival
The Flower and Garden Festival is one of the oldest, most popular festivals, and for good reason. This festivals allows nature to take center stage with numerous topiaries, gardens, and exhibits. It generally runs from early March until early July, giving you ample opportunity to visit. As its name would imply, you can find an abundance of nature displays, as well as educational displays. The festival offers many food and drink selections, all with an emphasis on fresh, bold flavors. This festival could make a nature-lover out of anyone!
EPCOT International Food and Wine Festival
The Food and Wine Festival typically runs from mid-July to mid-November, and is undoubtedly the most popular festival. This festival is all about unique food and drinks (not just wine!) from around the world, and features the most specialty food options out of all of the festivals- over thirty booths! While food and drinks are certainly the focus, aesthetics and experience are not neglected. The park is beautifully decked out for the festival, and you can usually find educational demonstrations and seminars, in addition to the live shows. At this festival, you are just steps away from your new favorite food!
EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays
The Festival of the Holidays is the last festival of the year, and typically runs from late November through late December. This event puts the festive in festival, as it acts as a huge celebration for holidays around the world (including Christmas!). While other parks have special ticketed holiday events like Very Merry Christmas, this is a way to enjoy all of the holiday Disney magic with just the price of admission. You can expect festive food, musical performances, and even holiday storytellers- a fun way to learn about holiday traditions from all around the world. This festival is also home to the Candlelight Processional, an inspiring holiday performance that usually features a celebrity narrator. Is there any better way to get into the holiday spirit?
Though EPCOT has plenty to explore on its own, the festivals add a whole new level of fun and opportunity. There is always something new to see, a new food to try, or a new experience to take part in.
