Hollywood Studios After Hours: Low Crowds & Big Thrills

Hollywood Studios After Hours: Low Crowds & Big Thrills

Ever dream about wandering through Disney’s Hollywood Studios with super low crowds and riding your favorites over and over again? Maybe meet some beloved rare characters? Sounds like an After Hours Event is right up your alley!

My husband and I recently spent an evening at Hollywood Studios After Hours along with his high school friend and his two adult daughters and wow! We had a blast! Even with some rain rolling through Orlando (not unusual), it was one of the most enjoyable nights we’ve ever had at Walt Disney World.

The party officially ran from 9:30 PM to 12:30 AM, but our After Hours tickets allowed us to enter the park as early as 7:00 PM. This gave us plenty of time to settle in, grab a quick dinner, soak in the atmosphere, and get a head-start on some rides before the magic of the event began.

We kicked the night off with Totchos from Woody’s Lunch Box, which we mobile-ordered ahead of time. If you’ve never had Totchos, imagine the deliciously unhealthy comfort of nachos but with tater tots instead of tortilla chips. This is serious pre-party fuel.

Once the clock hit party time, the wait times dropped to the near “walk-on” level every Disney fan dreams of. Throughout the night, we experienced everything we wanted… and then some. We rode Tower of Terror THREE times. I mean, who doesn’t love that?!

We also hopped on several other rides with little to no wait. That’s not something you typically experience during regular park hours. We rode everything on our must-do list!

A sweet (and salty) perk of Disney After Hours is the included snacks available all night long. We took advantage of the unlimited:

● Mickey Bars

● Mickey Ice Cream Sandwiches

● Popcorn

● Soft drinks

● Bottled water

Did I enjoy more than one Mickey Ice Cream Sandwich and maybe an extra popcorn? I did! It was for science after all. Also, I just can’t resist popcorn!

I definitely think Hollywood Studios After Hours is worth it, especially for

● Guests visiting Walt Disney World for just a few days

● Adults and older kids who prioritize attractions

● Anyone who hates long lines (this is probably everyone, right?)

You can accomplish an incredible amount in just a few hours without the crowds, heat, or blazing sun, and you get your fill of complimentary party snacks to keep you fueled up as you go.

I look forward to attending another Walt Disney World After Hours Event someday soon. Maybe we’ll hit Magic Kingdom next time.

How about you? Would you consider a Hollywood Studios After Hours event or have you already been to one? I love hearing your thoughts and experiences!
