Celebrating Diversity: A Taste of Pride Month 2023 at Walt Disney World Resort

In celebration of Pride Month in June 2023, Walt Disney World Resort is offering an array of special food and beverage items across its various locations. There's a delightful variety of options, from themed cakes to unique cocktails, each designed to commemorate this significant event.

At Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge, for instance, a Pride Confetti Cake made of yellow confetti cake and white chocolate ganache will be available throughout the month. Similarly, the Disney’s BoardWalk Deli will offer a Pride Cinnamon Roll, and the Contempo Café at Disney’s Contemporary Resort will feature a specially crafted Pride Mousse Cake. This cake, made of sprinkle cake, passion fruit mousse, strawberry crunch, and purple glitter mirror glaze, was co-created by two LGBTQIA+ Disney Culinary cast members, Margo and Bryce.

Disney’s Hollywood Studios will feature a Pride Cheesecake Dome, a delectable combination of whipped berry, white chocolate cheesecake on a vanilla cookie glazed with a red, white chocolate mirror glaze, and topped with Mickey Pride ears. Additionally, the park's Woody’s Lunchbox will offer a Pride Lunchbox Tart, a guava-filled pastry coated in purple vanilla fondant and topped with rainbow sprinkles, sour ribbon candy, and a blue chocolate Mickey.

Beyond these, there are a host of offerings at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park, EPCOT, and Magic Kingdom Park. For example, Animal Kingdom's Creature Comforts will offer a Pride Mousse Dome, striped with the colors of the transgender flag, and EPCOT's Regal Eagle Smokehouse will serve Blueberry Lemonade drinks, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic versions. These beverages were created by Restaurant Guest Experience Manager Josh, a member of the LGBTQIA+ community.
